Never Mined is my musical credo: Draw attention to the unseen and unheard, bring musical treasures to light, and thereby skew ears to the idiosyncracies of canonized works.

After a Fellowship year at the Radcliffe Institute and a ten-year project directing concerts and recordings for the American Academy in Rome, I have launched a new series of concerts highlighting works that need to be brought to light, re-valued, and listened to with fresh modern ears. To those who once said “Never Mind!” we say, “What value there is in forgotten, fresh-sounding works!!”

2012-13 will include composers Robert Palmer, Billy Jim Layton, Marion Bauer, Alexei Haieff, Theodore Chanler, and Louise Talma. Details to be updated.
